I can't remember if you're targeting 10.5+? If so, you should try to
avoid writing your own accessor methods and use dynamically-generated

As for the actual problem, I'm afraid nothing definite comes
immediately to mind. Are you setting up any bindings
programmatically? Are you setting the content of the array controller
directly at any stage?
