NSValue has two methods: value:withObjCType: and

What is the difference between these two methods? When do I have to
use the first, when the second?
I am rather confused.
Read the documentation. For the first method it says:
Discussion
This method has the same effect as valueWithBytes:objCType: and may
be deprecated in a future release. You should use
valueWithBytes:objCType: instead.
To be fair to the OP, my documentation (Xcode 3) does not have this
deprecation remark, although I notice the online documentation
does, and
Xcode says my documentation is up to date. Maybe this comes with
3.1, which
I haven't bothered to install yet.
So, it's very possible that the OP *did* read the documentation,
and it said
nothing about the difference, as my documentation shows.
I hereby solemnly declare that I have read the documentation (to be
more exact: looked up the things in AppKiDo) and did not see anything
about any difference.
And my documentation is up to date - for Tiger that is.
But thanks a lot for citing the newest docs. Now my mind is at rest.
Kind regards,
Gerriet.
