Recommended way of checking OS version

  • Subject: Recommended way of checking OS version

Hey folks, does anyone know the recommended way of checking whether my app is running on Tiger or Leopard? It used to be that you could just check that appkit version against one of the #defines, but apple appears to have stopped updating them. At least 10.3.5 is the latest that I see.

Is Gestalt really the way?

Thanks,

Jason
