applicationDockMenu: not called

  • Subject: applicationDockMenu: not called

I need to create a dynamic dock menu. I've found that applicationDockMenu: app delegate method doesn't get called if I programmatically open a document on startup either from applicationDidFinishLaunching or awakeFromNib via openDocumentWithContentsOfURL.

Is it a bug? Is there a place even later in the startup sequence that I can call openDocumentWithContentsOfURL so that it won't trigger this strangeness concerning applicationDockMenu: ?
