Jeff,

Would the NSView (or NSWindow) method dataWithPDFInsideRect be a starting point for you?  It does let you obtain your view as PDF data.

Though, there might be a more direct approach to get what you need just by using the basic printing classes.

In case these resources have eluded your radar, they may contain the information you need:

Chapter 25 in Cocoa Programming (Anguish, Buck and Yacktman) on Printing discusses this topic quite thoroughly.  And Apple's documentation, "Printing Programming Topics for Cocoa," covers this well too.
