NSPort represents both ends of the communication channel you only create one NSPort.

While I'm trying to piece your replies together, I have a quick question .. reference Listing 5-15 and, in particular, the comment:

It appears that the passed (NSPort*)outPort is also the worker, or background, thread port. If true, then are we sending from a background port to another background port???
