hey all, I've been looking around for different licensing techniques,

anyone out there who uses it, or can vouch for it? I am also thinking
that it's probably ok, as my app isn't going to be some million dollar

My advice is to do as little work as you can. The bottom line is
people *will* crack your software, no matter how secure you make it (a
quick look at the games industry where millions is poured into DRM
will confirm this). Thus, the best solution is to do enough to deter
your honest users from cracking it (put some simple hash based
password on it), while expending as little effort yourself as you
possibly can.
