is "Close Project" missing from the menu or do i have a problem and need to install XCode again. i'm using Xcode Version 3.0, Xcode IDE: 921.0, Xcode Core: 921.0, ToolSupport: 893.0.

This is better suited to the xcode-users list; it's off-topic for cocoa-dev.
