Messages to list show up empty

There seems to be a problem with the list recently where sometimes messages will show up with an empty body.

This has bit me a number of times and I just saw another message come in with the same issue.

Is there a known cause here? I would like to avoid the problem if possible. I am using Thunderbird 2, in case that is relevant.
