TableView & KeyDown

I'm trying to grab keyDown events from a tableView. I subclass NSTableView and added the - (void)keyDown:(NSEvent *)theEvent method. I'm not getting the events. Oddly, I am getting mouseDown events. Can someone tell me what I've got wrong?
