10.4 Toolbars

  • Subject: 10.4 Toolbars

Hello,

I am a rather novice coder, but I understand toolbars enough to want to use them. But, I haven't been coding quite long enough to have been told how to add tool bars to my applications within Tiger. Since I would like to use them within my latest project, I need to learn this art even though it would be much easier to require Leopard for the nib- integrated toolbars.

So, it would be helpful if anyone could send me code examples or explain how to put toolbars into practice on Tiger so that I can incorporate them into my latest project. Also, how to manage the images would be helpful (and how to make them a section type toolbar, like how several Apple programs preferences work).

Thanks,
Jeremy

"For a long time it puzzled me how something so expensive, so leading edge, could be so useless, and then it occurred to me that a computer is a stupid machine with the ability to do incredibly smart things, while computer programmers are smart people with the ability to do incredibly stupid things. They are, in short, a perfect match." - Bill Bryson
