NSMutableArray Problem

  • Subject: NSMutableArray Problem

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to do this:

NSString *list = @"wrenches, hammers, saws";

NSArray *listItems = [list componentsSeparatedByString:@", "];

Which is straight out of the documentation and I want to use a Mutable Array instead, but I get this warning:

warning: initialization from distinct Objective-C type

then I want to add an object like so:

	[listItems addObject:newObject];

	But when I run the program it halts and says the following:

	 -[NSCFArray addObject:]: mutating method sent to immutable object

	Does anyone know what is going on?

	Phil
