iChat-Theater not working from Cocoa apps

Hi,

did anybody get iChat Theater to work from within Cocoa applications under Mac OS 10.5.1? In my app, the IMAVManager never fires a IMAVManagerStateChangedNotification although I exactly followed the documentation and examples. On my machines, not even Apple's "Slideshow" demo application does not work.
