Close a menu programmatically

  • Subject: Close a menu programmatically

Hi!

I would like to programmatically close a menu. The reason being that I have a search field in the menu item (much like the Help menu under Leopard). When the user hits enter, I open a new window and thus I would like the menu to go away.

I am under the impression that I need to drop back to Carbon. The catch being that my Carbon knowledge is close to nil (shall I say NULL?).

Or is there a Cocoa way?

Best,
Pierre Bernard
