This gets you into a whole world of wondering why _NSBindingAdapter,
NSValueBinder, NSBinder etc. exist. I think I'll leave that for now!

I do wonder, incidentally, why the NSKeyValueBindingCreation category
of NSObject is in AppKit rather than Foundation.
