How can you read a plist file from C?

Unless you're looking for a pure C solution which isn't dependent on any Mac OS libraries, you could always use CFXMLParser and it's SAX based callbacks.

If you can use CFXMLParser, you can use CFPropertyList functions, it will be even easier. Note that plist have 3 formats, text, xml, and binary.
