There use to be - the "dot Mac" SDK provided that sort of thing. There is even a mailing list about it (though it's all but dead now-a- days)

There is yet to be any public comment about any update to support mobileMe features, or what exactly the future of the dot Mac SDK is (it doesn't even support 64 bits in its current form)
