Hiding NSImageView

Hi all, I need to be able to display either one or two images on the screen and the choice is made by the user via a button. So I have built my interface with three ImageWells one large ImageWell and also two 1/2 the size I want to be able to turn them on and off with a button but I can find no way of making them transparent or finding any other way of hiding them is eluding me.

Can this be done or should I create them programmatically on demand?
