Jean-Daniel, merci!

I am happy to learn about the Text Input Source Services.

Because Cocoa is the preferred way to write OS X programs, that's what I'm trying to learn. I don't understand why Apple would push Cocoa and then provide some API's only in the Carbon library, but I can accept the answer that using Carbon API's is the right way to go for now. :-)

Why the replacement should be Cocoa ?
Actualy, the successor of "KL Services" are "Text Input Source Services".

Hi! I'm looking to learn about modern, Cocoa equivalents for the deprecated functions described in the "Keyboard Layout Services Reference."
