Where are the system spellchecker prefs stored?

Hello folks.
Do you know where the system spellchecker language preferences are stored? I would like the access the spell checker and programatically change its "set" language. I thought I would find a plist, I've done a few spotlight searches, but no luck so far.
Any help will be appreciated
