I would think that

[itemBrowserArrayCTRL removeAllObjects];

would be your best. By calling arrangedObjects and feeding it to removeObjects:, you're causing your array to sort all 15000 entries before it removes them individually.


NSArrayController doesn't have a removeAllObjects method...
