What's a good way to tell contextual menu apart from main menu?

I'd like to treat the Paste command that comes from the main Edit menu and a contextual menu slightly differently - in the latter case I want to position the object based on the mouse, for the main menu it just centres it in the view. What's a good way to tell them apart?
