Also note that the definition of "Carbon" has evolved, becoming narrower
over time, as more of the low-level APIs that do not relate to user
interface have been rebranded "Core" instead of "Carbon". That which is
"Core" is available 64-bit and will probably be supported long into the
future, that which is still "Carbon" is at best in low-level maintenance,
and at worst on its (long, slow) way out.
