Sorry, these two sentences seem to be contradictory. Let me clarify: +initialize is used to initialize the *class*. No class methods are *instance* initializers or have anything to do with *instances* of a class.


What exactly do you mean by initializing the *class*? what exactly is initialized with +initialize() method?
When exactly this method gets called?
