Xcode uses the standard Unix C/C++/ObjC compiler, GCC. I haven't seen
a listing of all the error messages and warnings; presumably it would
be part of the GCC documentation, which on a Leopard system can be
found on your disk at
file:///Developer/Documentation/DocSets/com.apple.ADC_Reference_Library.XcodeReference.docset/Contents/Resources/Documents/documentation/DeveloperTools/gcc-4.0.1/gcc/index.html
You can also try Google.
