Saving NSTextField value

  • Subject: Saving NSTextField value

I have a current date and time method that returns a result in an
NSTextField.

-(IBAction)returnCurrentDateAndTime:(id)sender

{

 NSCalendarDate *current;

current = [NSCalendarDate calendarDate];

  [mDateReceiver setObjectValue:current];

 }

I need the date to remain static indefinitely [after quitting] until the
user reactivates the sender.

What's the best way to maintain the value of the textField using Bindings?

I've tried this and it's not working for me:

NSUserDefaultsController *defaultsController = [NSUserDefaultsController
sharedUserDefaultsController];

     [defaultsController save:[mDateReceiver objectValue]];

Bindings:

Shared User Defaults Controller

Controller Key: values

Model Key Path: save

thanks.
