Barring such generosity, you found - and are suffering from - the
bug, so you're in the best position to describe it to Apple engineers
and post their inevitable response if they have a work-around.

I posted one a year ago about different problem and still waiting for
"inevitable response" :)
Looks like they fixed it though.
If there is no work-around, then yeah, it's not very gratifying, but
you don't know whether there is or not, so five minutes of your time
may pay off. I know this is probably more of a waste of time, telling
a developer this (I speak from experience), but: Stop being so damn
lazy! :-)
Oh, you don't know me - I almost lost my sleep over this one! :)
Took me few hours to figure it out and I'd happily spend few more
minutes on a bug report if it would help me to resolve the issue.
Anyway - I'll file the bug.
