Potentially dumb question

  • Subject: Potentially dumb question
  • From: Robert Mullen <email@hidden>

My application is not document based but does create certain files as a byproduct and needs to be the default application for these file types as well. If they are clicked or dragged to the dock icon of my application I need to be able to display the contained information in a special display mode of my application. Can all this be done in an NSApplication since this is more of a utility feature of my application and its core behavior is as a true NSApplication? If so, can someone point me in the direction of documents that show how to retrieve the document that triggered startup of my application?

TIA.
