I noticed that there is NOT an iPhone Dev list on this server. Does anyone
have any recommendations for newbie iPhone development? The only one I know
of is iPhoneDevCentral.Org, however it is quite limited at the moment?

Have you searched this list's archives or read the details of the iPhone developer program? When you join, you can sign in and enjoy the (password-protected, for-members-only) forums offered there. This is done (apparently) as a way to preserve the non-disclosure agreement but give developers the forum they've been demanding for months.
