You should really name your category. Something like:

@interface NSObject (MyViewDelegate)

Even better if you're targeting Leopard only is to use a formal protocol, but with optional methods. e.g.

@protocol MyViewDelegate
@optional
- (void)pointClicked:(NSPoint)point;
@end
