How can I programatically detect the state of the "Zoom while holding" checkbox and modifier key choice in System Prefs -> Keyboard & Mouse - > Trackpad?

This setting can clash with a view zooming feature in my app so I'd like to be able to detect it and adjust my own settings accordingly, and/or warn the user.

tia,

Graham
