Custom Array/Set keypath

I would like to bind the value of an NSTextField to the standard deviation of a keypath. My class Foo has an instance variable "amount." I found the NSExpression function stddev: and thought I would create a category but that didn't work out like I had hoped.

Any thoughts appreciated.
