I agree with you to a point, but... "severely diminished"? One presumably
will be *using* a piece of software far more often than installing it, so
let's try to keep things in perspective.

Yeah, if only there were an app that would let users look inside installer
packages... It would ease their troubled minds, so perhaps it could be
called "Peaceful" or something like that... :-)
