I have a similar problem -- I want to print a summary of certain
database items, then a non-predetermined number of pages from each of
several queries...
Oh, and I also needed a "preview" of what the pages look like before I
print.
I was unable to find anything like what you seem to be looking for, so
I've been prototyping and experimenting. I think I've got all the parts
together, and am working on the real thing now . Unfortunately, I'm
only able to work on this sporadically, an hour or two at a time.
I got my start with the chapter on printing in Hillegass book (third
edition), then Apple documentation. In addition to "printing
programming topics for cocoa", and "Mac OS X Printing System Overview" I
found "Text Layout Programming Guide for Cocoa" especially useful.
Good luck. If there is any documentation like you are asking for, I'd
be happy to see it also.
If you don't get a better answer, I'll be happy to let you know more about
my approach (but don't guarentee rapid response, unfortunately).
Best,
