Tracking rects, tracking areas and events

  • Subject: Tracking rects, tracking areas and events

I have a few questions about the subject.

1. What is the difference between tracking areas and tracking rects?
2. If I register a tracking rect, will the mouseMoved: message keep on spamming, or will only mouseEntered: and mouseExited: be sent? If I understood this correctly, all three are activated with the setAcceptsMouseMovedEvents: message.
3. What happens if two rects intersect? Which one will be called? Is it possible to create tree-like priorities like views and subviews?

Thanks,

- Fisk
