Same answer as the padding...
Line heights (or more accurately, line spacing) is a property of the
NSParagraphStyle set within the text's attributes. If you are drawing
an attributed string and allowing it to naturally wrap to a number of
lines, the paragraph style will give you a great degree of control
over the layout.
