Pop up button in a tableview cell

I am building a core data application. On one of the windows there is a tableview with two columns. One column contains ordinary text items. The other column I want to contain popup menus so that the user can select one of three values (text). The value choices are the same for every row and never change. I found no documentation for how to put a popup menu into a tableview in IB or programmatically. My Mac OS is Leopard, and my Xcode is version 3.1.2. TIA.
