Thank you for the thoughts, guys.
Sean, I just verified that Apple's DepartmentAndEmployees responds OK.
But today, after making some other changes, my app is behaving differently. With AEDebugReceives=1, I see that it receives the SSys/odoc Apple Event with the file url in the data. What's supposed to happen next is that my document controller should get an openDocumentWithContentsOfURL:display:error:. But it doesn't. So course no doc gets opened.
So now it's an AppleScriptability issue. I can't figure this out I'll discuss on email@hidden.
