So: why is everybody so enthusiastic about Shark when it is

I bet that's because they don't care about how useful it is for you
as long as it works for them.
Absolutely: I find that Shark is a great tool!
My code resides in: "/Volumes/เม่น/Users/gerriet/Some/Path/
to/Project". But I simply cannot believe that nobody ever has told
Shark that the days of MacRoman are over and that there is
something like Unicode.
(But then: it took AppleScript about 17 years to discover this, so
who knows?)
Another possibility: "/Volumes/เม่น" is case sensitive. But
why should fishes get confused by cases?
Verify if that is indeed the problem, and if so, file one or more
bug reports:
<http://developer.apple.com/BugReporter/>
That would indeed be a very lame bug. Let's hope it's something more
interesting.
This is quite possible, particularly if you have an old version:

Questions about Shark will probably get a better response on xcode-
users, too.
