You are correct, and thanks for pointing that out. I just got a little carried away with using the dot syntax and just hadn't noticed it since the compiler didn't give me any warnings.

Unfortunately, as you said, this doesn't really solve the main problem here. Anybody have any ideas?

Unfortunately I haven't responded to address your question, but rather to call out your misuse of the dot syntax. The dot syntax is explicitly designed only for the use of getters and setters. Do not use it to call parameterless methods like -autoplay.
