No, the Dock is an LSUIElement application. The LSUIElement means that
it has no menu bar, and does not appear in the Dock.

A daemon is a long-lived BSD-level background process which does not
make a connection to the window server.

An agent is (I think!) a daemon that gets linked to a user's login
session and is automatically started and stopped by launchd.
