In short, don't develop Cocoa apps in Python or Ruby unless you need access to some framework only available in those languages. Successfully developing Cocoa apps in Python/Ruby requires all of the Objective-C knowledge anyway *and* adds a bunch of additional required details in that there are impedance mismatches between the scripting languages and Objective-C.
