Securing Web Service Communication

Hello,

I have received some help on this in the past, but we are trying to connect an iPhone application to a .NET XML SOAP Web Service. I can connect the iPhone to the web service but I do not know what I should do to secure this (i.e. with user credentials, etc.). Does anyone know any examples or tutorials on having the iPhone prompt the user to log in? I assume this would be some kind of HTTP challenge security, but I am at a loss on this.

Thanks,
Matt
