It is desired, but it is actually exceedingly difficult to generalize a solution that is correct in all cases.


There is a radar tracking this particular feature request -- I don't have the number handy at the moment -- and we are considering how to solve the issue in a non-surprising & intuitive fashion.

(So, no, no need to file a feature request radar -- this one is well known and well covered)
