NSWorkspace -launchApplication fails to launch, but no error

  • Subject: NSWorkspace -launchApplication fails to launch, but no error

I try to launch an application by passing a full POSIX path to NSWorkspace -launchApplication: on 10.3.9 but it fails.

I have built my app using the 10.4 SDK and tried it targeting both 10.3 & 10.4 as deployment since I have some newer 10.4 routines which won't work on 10.3. I also check each API for NULL before calling it.

When NSWorkspace -launchApplication:runs, it returns YES indicating launch, but my app never runs. Double-clicking my app runs it and then it quits immediately with no errors. I've checked all my frameworks and weak linking, but -launchApplication doesn't work.

My app runs fine on 10.4. and 10.5. But on 10.3 won't launch.

What gives?

Erg
