HISearchWindowShow is a Carbon function. If you don't include the Carbon framework, it won't work. I think this aspect may have changed between the Xcode 2.1 in the cited article and Xcode 3.x on Leopard.


BTW, I found HISearchWindowShow in the 10.5 SDK's Carbon headers by pasting the name into the Spotlight search box.
