NSDocumentController typeForContentsOfURL - inAbsoluteURL is null when path has space in it?

Hey All, quick question.

Has anyone ever run across null parameters being passed to the
typeForContentsOfURL when a directory has a space in it?

My app uses directories as the document types, but when a space is in the
path I get null parameters.

Any ideas?
