I extended NSManagedObject to provide a uniqueId accessor similar to that of ABRecord. Turns out that this messed with the uniqueId accessor of ABRecord. The docs don't say that ABRecord inherits from NSManagedObject but somewhere they do I guess (it seems reasonable that they would)...lesson learned.
