problem to connect network

I have an app in data card using the apple sample code "MoreSCF" and "DIAL" to create a link and connect to network.
Now, I meet some problems,
1. I used the "MoreSCF" to create a dialup set which configuared with "dial number", "user name", "password";
but the customer said that there was no "user name", "password" sent to the network;
what's wrong with it?
2. The PAP/CHAP， I didn't know what can be done with it, where I can configure it with code?
