Thanks for your answer!

I just wanted the possibility to change the standard behavior because
everyone I know is used to cmd+tab  instead of 4 finger swipe, cmd+tab is
also more powerful because by hitting it more than once the selected app
changes. (And why does 4 finger swipe left and right do the same thing?!)
I can think of much more useful things to do with those swipes in my app,
using this would be optional for the user of course :-).

Why is there a NSEventTypeSwipe, Magnifiy, Rotate etc. but not
FourFingerSwipe? Well, I think I'll discard this idea, interpreting the
touches by myself is way too ugly :-) Maybe Apple makes the gestures
customizable some day...
